Adopt Resolution approving Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement number 170050 in the amount of $3,000 with and accepting the Grant Deed conveying real property from Robert P. Woldemar and Vicky E. Woldemar, as Trustees, for the acquisition of rights of way needed for construction of the 2017 storm damage repair on Orr Springs Road, Project Number F-1706.201PR, located on Orr Springs Road, County Road (CR) 223, milepost 39.20 (Ukiah Area); and authorize Chair to sign same.

By Resolution, No. 17-011 (January 24, 2017) the Board of Supervisors (BOS) declaring existence of a local emergency related to the January 2017 Winter Storms event (County Wide).  By Resolution No. 17-023, (February 14, 2017) BOS declaring continuation of a local emergency related to the January and February 2017 winter storms (County Wide).  By Resolution No. 17-031, (March 7, 2017) BOS declaring continuation of a local emergency related to the January and February 2017 winter storms (County Wide).  By Resolution No. 17-064, (May 16, 2017) BOS authorizing DOT to advertise for bids and award five DOT contracts to construct 2016 and 2017 storm damage permanent repairs on Mountain View Road CR 510, MP 22.02; Branscomb Road, CR 429, MP 17.21, Comptche Ukiah Road, CR 223, MP 17.25, Orr Springs Road CR 223, MP 39.20, Bell Springs Road, CR 324, MP 17.71 (County Wide).                     

 

Summary of Request

Rights of way are needed for the above-referenced project for to remove a Bailey bridge, excavate a stretch of roadway and resurface; construct a soldier pile wall with tie backs and sub drains; reconstruct drainage ditch and place rock slope protection, all to repair and reconstruct the roadway damaged by the 2017 winter storms, located on Orr Springs Road, County Road 223, Milepost 39.20.  Robert P. Woldemar and Vicky E. Woldemar, as Trustees, own the property that the County needs to acquire and have signed DOT Agreement No. 170050, and the Grant Deed, in accordance with the terms set forth in said agreement, whereby they agree to convey to the County the said rights of way needed.  DOT is now requesting the BOS approve DOT Agreement No. 170050 and accept the Grant Deed for the conveyance of real property to the County from Robert P. Woldemar and Vicky E. Woldemar, as Trustees.

Postpone approval of DOT Agreement No. 170050.
