Summary of Request

The California Department of Social Services Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) provides funding for Child Abuse Prevention programs through multiple Federal and State funding sources. The services provided with these funds must tie into the County’s Child Welfare System Improvement Plan (SIP). Currently, the Family Resource Center Network provides these services in eight locations throughout Mendocino County. In addition, the Health and Human Services Agency staffs two Family Resource Centers directly. The proposed contract will ensure the continuation of OCAP services in the community to target child abuse and neglect pending the completion of a new Request for Proposal (RFP) in FY 2017-18 for services beginning in FY 2018-19.
