RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve retroactive amendment to Board of Supervisors Agreement No. 16-083 with B.I. Incorporated d/b/a BI Correctional Services Inc. in the amount of $70,000, for a total Agreement amount of $140,000; extend the termination date from September 30, 2017 to September 30, 2018; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board approved the Agreement on September 20, 2016 for a period of October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 with option to extend the term of the agreement three (3) times for a period of one (1) year per extension on the same terms and conditions.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In order to provide effective and intensive community supervision, the Community Corrections Partnership selected BI to run the Adult Day Reporting Center in Ukiah. In 2016 the BI Day Reporting Center operations were expanded to include onsite services in Fort Bragg. BI provides a true evidence-based supervision program meeting all community supervision requirements of 2011 Realignment, including, but not limited to, risk and needs assessments, cognitive behavior programs, substance abuse testing & treatment, graduated sanctions for probation violations, intensive probation supervision, employment and training assistance, case management, and program evaluation.
