PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Approval of the 2017-2018 Capital Improvement Budget including $124,000 for the Willits Veterans Hall Ramps.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Willits Veterans Hall Accessible Ramps project was included in the 2017-2018 Capital Improvement budget with funding assistance from the Community Development Block Grant Program. The project was in design in the fall of 2016 when the Executive Office was advised of Caltrans' Willits Main Street Frontage Improvement Project which includes new curb, gutter and sidewalks on the Veterans Hall Project as well as the realignment of the Sherwood Road intersection. Despite concerted efforts by facilities staff and our Civil Engineer to coordinate the grade and location of our landing with the Caltrans Engineering Department, the field conditions the County contractor, Ferranti Construction, encountered did not permit the tie-in to the new City sidewalk as planned.
