PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On May 23, 2017, the Board of Supervisors provided direction to staff regarding draft versions of Chapter 6.36 and Chapter 20.243 and referred the matter to the Planning Commission. On October 3, 2017, the Board of Supervisors opened a public hearing on the proposed ordinance, heard public testimony, and provided direction to staff regarding specific issues. The item was continued to October 10, 2017. On October 10, 2017, the Board of Supervisors introduced and waived reading of the Ordinance amending Chapter 6.36 and Chapter 20.243 - Cannabis Facilities.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Ordinance would adopt regulations to govern the commercial processing, manufacturing, testing, dispensing and distributing of cannabis in unincorporated Mendocino County, including the addition of a new zoning chapter to the Inland Zoning Code. On October 10, 2017, the Board of Supervisors reviewed changes made by staff to the ordinance in response to direction given by the Board on October 3, 2017. The Board of Supervisors heard additional testimony on October 10, 2017, and made certain additional changes to the ordinance before introducing the ordinance and waiving the first reading.
