Adopt Resolution of the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors declaring its intention to consider Road Name Change Petition Number (No.) 17-01 and Summary Road Vacation Petition No. 17-01 of County Road (CR) 141, Cox Schrader Road (Frontage Road E), (Ukiah Area); and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Department of Transportation (DOT) received Road Name Change Petition No. 17-01 and Summary Road Vacation Petition No. 17-01 for CR 141, Cox Schrader Road (Frontage Road E), on August 17, 2017. DOT reviewed Road Name Change Petition No. 17-01 and Summary Road Vacation Petition No. 17-01 and found them to be compliant with the requirements for road name change and vacation of a road. The petitions have been signed by the appropriate number of Mendocino County residents supporting the requested actions, the filing fees have been paid, and all supporting documents have been submitted. The petitioners have submitted a petition to change the name of CR 141, Cox Schrader Road (Frontage Road E), to Rivino Ranch Road per California Department of Transportation's instruction. Petitioners have also requested that the County vacate said road so that for their security they may gate it. Summary Road Vacation Petition No. 17-01 meets the requirement to be considered as a summary road vacation pursuant to California Streets and Highways Code Section 8334, which provides ...
