Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services in the amount of $115,994 to fund the Inland Valley Emergency Winter Shelter from November 7, 2017 through April 15, 2018; authorize the Health and Human Services Director or designee to sign any future amendment to the Agreement that does not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

Summary of Request

Mendocino County has been contracting with local non-profit agencies to provide emergency shelter services for County indigents since 1982.  Redwood Community Services (RCS) has worked throughout the County on issues related to housing and homelessness, case-management, referral services, and individual supports. Under this Agreement, RCS will set up and maintain the Inland Valley Emergency Winter Shelter to provide temporary shelter between November 7, 2017, and April 15, 2018, to individuals at-risk of or currently experiencing homelessness.
