Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On January 10, 2017, the Board of Supervisors approved their 2017 Master Meeting Schedule. On August 8, August 15 and October 17, 2017, and November 7, 2017, the Board of Supervisors revised the 2017 Master Meeting Schedule.
Summary of Request:
The Board of Supervisors is requested to add a Regular Meeting on November 21, 2017, for consideration of reaffirmation of a Local Emergency, a Local Health Emergency, and other items as needed. In order for the Board to continue to reaffirm the existence of the local emergency and the local health emergency, the Board of Supervisors will need to consider authorizing additional Board meeting dates. After the action of the Board on November 7, 2017, staff determined that in order to maintain the two week reaffirmation of the local emergency declarations in conjunction with the Board’s Master Meeting Schedule through December 2017, the Board will need to consider adding a proposed date of November 21, 2017 (in place of the November 20, 2017, date previously adopted by the Board. At the organizational meeting of the Board in 2018, staff will have a proposed Master Meeting Schedule for 2018 with consideration to the need to continue to declare a local emergency for a certain period of time.

Do not approve amendment to the Board of Supervisors 2017 Master Meeting Schedule.
