Adopt Resolution approving Amendment Number (No.) 1 to the Board of Supervisors (BOS) Agreement No. 16-099/Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 160048, for geotechnical services with Crawford and Associates Inc., for increase of $390,000 to a total amount $630,000 and include California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Local Assistance Procedures Manual Exhibit 10-R, for 2016 Quadrennial Geotechnical Support Agreement Project, (County Wide); and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
By Resolution No. 16-144 (December 6, 2016), the BOS authorized DOT to enter into Agreement No. 160048 with Crawford and Associates Inc., for as-needed geotechnical services for various assignments on an assortment of projects throughout the county.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The declared storm disasters of 2017 resulted in damage to the County Maintained Road System at 47 identified sites. The number of storm damage sites requiring geotechnical engineering services is 27, which exceeded our expectations for the need for on-call geotechnical engineering services.
