Approval of fiscal year budget 2017-2018 which included funding for the Public Health - Mental Health Roof and HVAC Replacement Projects.
Summary of Request:
In March of 2017 Bids were received for the Public Health - Mental Health Roof and HVAC Replacement Project, but all bids were ultimately rejected because of bid irregularities and a funding shortfall in the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) budget. HHSA requested Facilities and Fleet split the project into two phases. Phase 1 includes the replacement of the obsolete hydronic heating system still operating in the South Wing and the associated roofing, electrical and interior work in that area. Three bids were opened on October 26, 2017, including the low bid from CWS Construction Group in the amount of $937,000.00. Facilities and Fleet recommends approval of contract award to CWS Construction Group, Inc.

Reject all bids and provide staff with further direction.
