Summary of Request:
Mendocino County enters into this Agreement with the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for the purpose of providing Covered Drug Medi-Cal services for Substance Use Disorder Treatment. The objective is to make substance use treatment services available pursuant to Title XIX and Title XXI of the Social Security Act for reimbursable covered services rendered by certified Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) providers. Further, the Board of Supervisors is being requested to direct the Auditor Controller to increase appropriation of expenditures in an existing budget unit, or establish a new budget unit, specifically for Agreement 17-94083. Mendocino County did not receive this Agreement from DHCS until months into the fiscal year, therefore, the grant agreement is being presented for retroactive consideration.
