PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board adopted Ordinance No. 4381 in 2017, which added Chapters 10A.17 and 20.242 to the County Code and adopted a mitigated negative declaration. At its meeting on November 13, 2017, the Board of Supervisors directed staff to review and make changes to section 20.242 related to expansion in the Rangeland zoning district. The Planning Commission heard the item at their February 1, 2018, meeting and provided its report and recommendation on the proposed ordinance amendment.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
This Ordinance makes changes to Section 20.242.040 to delete certain references to the Rangeland (RL) zoning district to clarify that no administrative permit is required for expansion of existing cannabis cultivation sites in the Rangeland (RL) zoning district up to the maximum amount of cultivation allowed for each cannabis cultivation permit type.
