PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to Board of Supervisors Agreement No. 17-098A1 with Mitchell, Brisso, Delaney & Vrieze on February 27, 2018 for an amount from $100,000 to $150,000 for litigation services in Linda Morales v. County of Mendocino, et al.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The firm of Mitchell, Brisso, Delaney & Vrieze has been retained to handle the lawsuit of Linda Morales v. County of Mendocino, et al. in Federal Court due to a conflict with our office. The costs related to this lawsuit involve an extensive number of depositions including two witnesses residing in two separate states. A summary judgment motion has been filed. It is hoped that we will spend less than $250,000 for the remainder of this case as a jury trial has begun as of April 2, 2018.
