PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On October 13, 2017, the local health officer issued a declaration of local health emergency due to the hazardous debris generated by the Redwood Complex Fire. On October 17, 2017, the Board ratified the declaration. On October 31, 2017, November 14, 2017, November 21, 2017, December 5, 2017, December 19, 2017, January 9, 2018, February 6, 2018, February 27, 2018, and March 27, 2018, the Board adopted Resolution Nos. 17-154, 17-167, 17-173, 17-179, 17-195, 18-007, 18-020, 18-030 and 18-043 respectively, reaffirming the existence of the local health emergency.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On October 9, 2017, the Redwood Complex Fire started and resulted in significant structural damage of several portions of the County. On October 13, 2017, the local health officer declared a local health emergency under Health and Safety Code Section 101080 due to hazardous materials contained in the debris from structures destroyed by the fire. The Board of Supervisors ratified the declaration on October 17, 2017. On October 31, 2017, November 14, 2017, November 21, 2017, December 5, 2017, December 19, 2017, January 9, 2018, February 6, 2018, and February 27, 2018, and March 27, 2018, the Board adopted Resolution Nos. 17-154, 17-167, 17-173, 17-179, 17-195 18-007, 18-020, 18-030, and 18-043 respectively, reaffirming the existence of the local health emergency.
