Approve Agreement with Tapestry Family Services in the amount of $62,100 to provide immediate, emergency foster care placements in certified/approved foster homes for the term of July 1, 2018, through June 1, 2019; authorize Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In Mendocino County, the placement and care of children who have been removed from the custody of their parents or guardians under Welfare and Institutions Code Section 300 is the responsibility of Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children's Services (FCS). Through this Agreement, Tapestry Family Services, a licensed Foster Family Agency, will provide FCS with home-based placements for children from birth to eighteen years of age who are in need of immediate, emergency foster care placement. Tapestry Family Services will provide at least three homes each month who will be on call at all times with at least six emergency beds available among the three homes.
