RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Adopt Resolution and approve Agreement with Employment Development Department in the amount of $75,809 to provide job development services for California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids participants for the term of July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019; authorize the Health Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency, California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Job Services (CJS) has been partnering with, and co-located with, Employment Development Department (EDD) since 1996. This contract will allow EDD staff to be available to provide direct placement and/or individualized job development services in order to support CJS participants who are transitioning to self-sufficiency. EDD services for CJS participants include assessment of employment goals and assistance with expanding job searches by linking transferrable skills to broader occupational and industrial categories.
