Adopt Resolution approving Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement Number (No.) 180053 in the amount of $500 with and accepting the Grant Deed conveying real property from Hanes Ranch, Incorporated, for the acquisition of rights of way needed for construction of permanent 2017 January Storm Damage repairs, on Mountain View Road, County Road (CR) 510, Milepost (MP) 16.62, Project No. F-1706.209PR (Boonville Area); and authorize Chair to sign same.

Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

By Resolution No. 17-110 (August 1, 2017), Board of Supervisors (BOS) authorized DOT to advertise for bids and award DOT contracts to construct 2016 and 2017 Storm Damage permanent repairs on various county roads, including Mountain View Road, CR 510, MP 16.62.                     

 

Summary of Request

Rights of way are needed for the above-referenced project for repairs that consist of excavating a section of roadway, constructing a soldier pile wall with tie backs and sub drains, install a metal guardrail, and ditch, all to repair and reconstruct the roadway damaged by the 2017 January storms on Mountain View Road, CR 510 at MP 16.62.  Hanes Ranch, Incorporated, owns the property that the County needs to acquire and has signed DOT Agreement No. 180053 and the Grant Deed, in accordance with the terms set forth in said agreement, whereby they agree to convey to the County the said rights of way needed.  DOT is now requesting the Board approve DOT Agreement No. 180053 and accept the Grant Deed for the conveyance of real property to the County from Hanes Ranch, Incorporated.

Postpone approval of DOT Agreement No. 180053.
