Adopt Resolution authorizing the Agricultural Commissioner to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture in the amount of $129,394 for reimbursement of European Grapevine Moth detection activities; authorize the Agricultural Commissioner to sign any amendments thereto that do not increase the maximum total amount of the Agreement and provide any assurances or certifications required to enter into the Agreement; and authorize Chair to sign same.

On June 6, 2017, the Board approved a Cooperative Agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture for European Grapevine Moth detection actives.
Summary of Request:
The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) Pest Detection/Emergency Projects Branch operates a statewide detection trapping program for the eradication of serious agricultural pest from California. CDFA desires to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Mendocino County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office to provide European Grapevine Moth detection trapping activates for the term of January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. Under the proposed agreement, CDFA will reimburse the County of Mendocino in the amount of $129,394. The Mendocino County Agricultural Commissioner is requesting authorization from the Board of Supervisors to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with CDFA.
