Summary of Request

UC Davis Northern California Training Academy conducted an Organizational Assessment of Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children’s Services (FCS) in 2016 and established a number of recommendations to improve FCS practices. UC Davis’s work with FCS in FY 17-18 focused primarily on Emergency Response workflow processes, development of investigation job aids, Structured Decision Making Hotline Tool training and Secondary Traumatic Stress training, for all staff. The Agreement for FY 18-19 will focus professional consultation services and trainings on the three main programs in FCS (Family Reunification, Family Maintenance and Permanency Placement) to help improve long term results for children and families.
