Summary of Request:
Redwood Quality Management Company (RQMC) has been arranging and/or managing mental health services on behalf of Mendocino County to adults age 25 years and older since July 1, 2016, when the contract with Ortner Management Group ended. RQMC, functioning as an Administrative Services Organization (ASO), oversees and manages the delivery of mental health services as delineated in the Mental Health Plan (MHP) approved by the State Department of Health Care Services. The proposed 2018-19 contract with RQMC continues the ASO model and allows RQMC to arrange and pay for specialty mental health services aimed at assisting adults with issues related to mental illness. This in turn allows the County to maintain a comprehensive MHP and comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
