Last action on June 18, 2013 Item No. 8(a), BOS Agreement No. 13-027.
Summary of Request:
Mendocino County routinely signs a contract with the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) that allows the County to recoup federal and state funds (Federal Financial Participation and State Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment dollars) and all other revenue streams awarded to the County to provide specialty mental health services. This Agreement outlines expectations related to services provided under the County’s Mental Health Plan. On May 25, 2018, the County received the latest contract from DHCS, Agreement No. 17-94594, which was dated to begin retroactively on July 1, 2017, instead of the expected July 1, 2018. This new Agreement includes significant changes due to updated federal Medicaid Managed Care regulations that became effective and applicable on July 1, 2017. It continues through June 30, 2022.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Return to staff for alternative handling.
