RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve retroactive Agreement with Turning Point of Central California, Inc. in the amount of $53,272 to provide 60 days of crisis residential care for a severely physically and developmentally disabled foster child for the period of August 1, 2018 through September 29, 2018; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
A severely physically and developmentally disabled foster child is in need of a long-term care facility. At this time, Turning Point of Central California (TPCC)'s residential home in Ukiah, Northern Lights, is the only facility that has accepted the child, although another facility out-of-county has agreed to assess and consider the child for a longer-term placement. TPCC's residential facility has the level of services necessary to provide a safe environment for the specific severely physically and developmentally disabled foster child. TPCC will maintain the placement for up to 60 days while Family and Children's Services (FCS) of the Health and Human Services Agency continues to search for a longer-term solution.
