PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The role of the Commission is established in Chapter 2.5 of the Mendocino County Fish and Game Code; this role includes recommending expenditures to the Board of Supervisors from the Fish and Wildlife Propagation Fund that are in accordance with the requirements of the Fish and Game Code Sections 13100-13104. On February 27, 2018, the Board approved the disbursement of $43,500.00 in Fish and Game Propagation Funds for the FY 17/18 project cycle.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On February 27, 2018, the Board approved the Fish and Game Commission's recommendations to allocate propagation funds in the amount of $43,500.00 for four project applications. One of the applications, for two kayaks for Inland Mendocino County State Game Wardens, was approved; however the application incorrectly identified the State Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) as the recipient of the funds. The State is unable to accept the money directly and a third party non-profit, the Mendocino Coast Police Activities League, located at 700 South Franklin Street, #110, Fort Bragg, CA 95437, must accept the payment and purchase the kayaks on behalf of the DFW.
