SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs has invited Mendocino County to the White House Conference with California Local Leaders for remarks and discussion with key administration officials and policymakers on pertinent issues impacting the State of California. The conference will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 with a 10:30 AM ET White House tour and a 1:00 - 4:00 PM ET White House Conference. The National Association of Counties (NACo) will be hosting a briefing on their priorities and current programs on October 22nd prior to the White House briefing. Supervisor Croskey intends to use her Management Training Funds to cover the travel expense and utilize allocated funding from the Board of Supervisors travel budget as necessary.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Deny Supervisor Croskey's request to attend, resulting in no representation for Mendocino County at the White House conference.
