Approve Legal Services Agreement with Christiana Darlington, in an amount not to exceed $30,000, for separate legal representation for the Air Quality Management District effective when fully executed through June 30, 2019; approve transfer of funds from the District's fund balance to Budget Unit 0327, Line Item 862183, to increase the District's legal fees budget appropriation by $20,000 for outside legal services; and authorize Chair to sign same.

On May 16, 2017 - Approval of Legal Services Agreement #17-022 with Derek Cole as outside legal counsel to represent the District in legal matters.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Air Quality Management District is requesting to enter into a Legal Services Agreement with Christiana Darlington for Separate Legal Representation through June 30, 2019. Ms. Darlington has over ten years' experience in air quality law, CEQA and planning. She is currently contracted with several other air quality management districts and was recommended by the Air Pollution Control Officers of those districts to assist the District in matters related to District programs and mandated requirements.
