Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On October 3, 2017 the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors entered into an agreement with planning consulting firm Michael Baker International to develop a zoning exemption process (overlay) for cannabis cultivation sites. The Board received presentations by Michael Baker International at their January 23, 2018 and June 12, 2018 meetings and gave direction at those times. The Planning Commission reviewed the proposed ordinances and amendments at their meeting of October 18, 2018, and recommended that the proposed changes and new ordinances be adopted by the Board of Supervisors, with modifications and suggestions as specified in the Commission’s resolution.
Summary of Request:
Representatives from the Consultant Michael Baker International, Department of Planning and Building Services and the County Counsel’s Office have prepared the attached agenda packet discussing the proposed additions and changes to the cannabis cultivation ordinances.
