Adopt Resolution approving Amendment Number 3 to Board of Supervisors Agreement Number 12-079/Department of Transportation Agreement Number 110123, with Willdan Engineering (Willdan) in the amount of $64,762, for additional professional engineering design services for the term starting upon execution of the agreement and continuing through December 31, 2021, and authorizing an additional contingency amount of $41,000, for the Mattole River Bridge Replacement on Briceland Road, County Road 435, Milepost 0.63 (Whale Gulch Area); and authorize the Chair to sign same.

Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
By Resolution Number (No.) 12-098, July 10, 2012, Board of Supervisors (BOS) authorized Department of Transportation (DOT) to enter into BOS Agreement No. 12-079/DOT Agreement No. 110123 with Willdan to design the replacement of the Mattole River Bridge on Briceland Road.
Summary of Request:
Amendment No. 3 provides for $64,762 in additional funds needed to complete California Environmental Quality Act/ National Environmental Policy Act documentation, permit applications, the Environmental Commitments Record, Geotechnical Services, finishing the remaining cultural resource documents, and preparing a Water Quality technical memo and Visual Impact Analysis as required by the California Department of Transportation. The costs of replacement of this bridge are anticipated to be paid for by the Federal Highway Bridge Program (FHWA HBP) and Toll Credits.
Alternative Action/Motion:
Postpone approval of Amendment No. 3 to BOS Agreement No. 12-079/DOT Agreement No. 110123.
