SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
California counties provide many services that are essential to the lives of Californians. The position of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors (Board) plays an integral role in the function of California County government, including performing many legally mandated functions that protect and preserve the rights of the citizens to an open and accessible government. The Clerk of the Board duties regarding maintaining the record of the Board is a fundamental part of government, with the Clerks constantly maintaining their neutrality and impartiality of the proceedings of government.
This proclamation is presented to recognize the dedication of the Clerk of the Board staff in Mendocino County, as well as the accomplishments of Clerks of the Board across the 58 counties in the State of California.
