Summary of Request:
The State cannabis licensing authorities have large backlogs of license applications for annual licenses and will be unable to process all of the applications before the temporary license expire. Under current law, once temporary licenses expire applicants will be unable to lawfully conduct business until their annual license is approved. Senate Bill 67 will enable licensing authorities to extend temporary licenses while they continue to process the backlog of applications for annual or provisional licenses.
