PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On June 6, 2018, the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved the Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-19 Budget. The narrative on pages 55-56 of the Mendocino County FY 2018-19 Budget affirms the Board's priority to invest Mendocino County Department of Transportation's (MCDoT) roads corrective maintenance funds to improve road surfaces by seals or asphalt overlays. The BOS received an update from MCDoT in the Director's Report of January 8, 2019, for new Road Maintenance and Repair Account funding to improve the County's Pavement Condition Index.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Mendocino County FY 2018-19 Budget, in an effort to meet the public transparency requirements of Senate Bill 1(SB 1) (Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017), presented the narrative on pages 55-56 and the List of Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) Projects on page 503. The Director of Transportation presented the 2019 Asphalt Concrete (AC) Maintenance list of roads at the January 8, 2019, BOS meeting. Mendocino County will receive an estimated $4,000,000, in RMRA funding in FY 2019-20, from SB 1.
