Summary of Request

The proposed update to the Aegis CAD Enterprise suite of software for computer aided dispatch is critically needed due to the current suites age (approximately 8 years old) and the fact that it is running on a Microsoft server platform that is nearing its end of life and maintenance. The servers and hardware have been updated, and we need to update the suite of software from Aegis to complete the process. The suite covers core processes such as 911 dispatch services, corrections, crime reporting, mobile data, etc. Upgrading the suite helps us stay in compliance with licensing and security requirements required at local, State, and Federal levels as well as keeps the public safety dispatch services current and functioning for the ultimate public safety service.
