Summary of Request:
Nationally, April is "Child Abuse Prevention Month." Concerns surrounding abused, neglected and exploited children continue year round. Child Abuse Prevention Month provides the Board of Supervisors with the opportunity to draw attention to this subject. This proclamation will increase awareness among the citizens of Mendocino County, and identify the need for prevention services and alternative caregivers, while encouraging support efforts to ensure that all children are loved, cared for, nurtured and safe.
