PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On March 19, 2019 the Board received a presentation from the Climate Action Start-Up Group on Mendocino County's Commitment and Mission to Fight Climate Change; endorsed in principle the proposal presented; and directed staff to schedule a subsequent workshop on the formation and structure of the Climate Action Advisory Committee, explore funding sources and initiate discussions with the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District regarding a contract for services to staff the Committee

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Climate Action Start-up Group will make a presentation on the attached draft regarding the structure and formation of the Climate Action Advisory Committee and respond to Board questions. The draft has been revised to include reference to a "Mendocino County Sustainability and Climate Action Program" which is described in a companion agenda item for the draft Scope of Services for a proposed contract between the County and the Mendocino County Resource and Conservation District. The Board is requested to discuss the presentation and give direction to staff regarding the structure and formation of the Mendocino County Climate Action Advisory Committee.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Do not accept presentation or provide direction to staff.
