Approve allocation of $50,000 and corresponding budget transfer from General Fund, Budget Unit 1100 750000 to Special Department Expense, Budget Unit 1100 1940 in the amount of $50,000, to undertake a feasibility study of a potential licensing proposal for the Potter Valley Project and other related costs.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 21, 2018, the Board of Supervisors passed Resolution 18-131 adopting a position statement supporting the acquisition of the Potter Valley Project (Project) by the Mendocino County IWPC. On October 16, 2018, the Board of Supervisors authorized the transfer of $20,000 to the IWPC for services to investigate and negotiate potential acquisition of the Project by the IWPC. On May 7, 2019, the Board of Supervisors identified funding for the Pottery Valley Project (PVP) as one of the budget priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
IWPC is requesting $50,000 from each of its five member entities to undertake a feasibility study of a potential licensing proposal for the Potter Valley Project (Project) and for other related costs.
