Approve amendment to BOS Agreement No. 17-142-A1 with Mendocino County Youth Project ("MCYP") in the amount of $38,209, for a total agreement amount of $152,836, to provide counseling services for Probation youth at New Beginnings School, extending the termination date from June 30, 2019 to June 30, 2020; and authorize Chair to sign same.

The Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to Purchasing Agent Agreement #17-23 on November 14, 2017 to extend the termination date by one-year to June 30, 2018 and to increase the total agreement amount by $38,209 to $76,418 (BOS 17-142); the Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to BOS 17-142 on June 19, 2018 to extend the termination date by one-year to June 30, 2019 and to increase the total agreement amount by $38,209 to $114,627.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Youth Project provides 24.0 hours per week mental health services to Probation youth attending the New Beginnings School. Services are provided by a licensed or licensed-eligible counselor or clinician approved by both MCYP and Probation. The counselor works with Probation staff as needed to provide crisis intervention assessment, counseling and case management, develop client treatment plans, provide individual, group and family therapy and make referrals ...
