Summary of Request

Ms. Traversaro has dedicated nearly 27 years of service in support of public safety and emergency management.  Ms. Traversaro was instrumental in serving local elected officials, local emergency managers and first responders, and non-governmental entities during and between some of the state’s most devastating disasters, including the 2018 Ranch and River wildfires in Lake County, the 2018 Mendocino Complex wildfire in Mendocino County, the 2016 “Ghost Ship” warehouse fire in the City of Oakland, and the 2014 South Napa Earthquake.  Ms. Traversaro has distinguished herself as a proven leader in the areas of disaster planning, response, and recovery while serving local government and the residents in 16 counties, 151 cities, and a population of over eight million people comprising the world’s 19th largest economy.  As such, it is recommended that the Board of Supervisors recognize Ms. Jodi Traversaro and show their appreciation for her service by adopting a Proclamation in her honor.
