Summary of Request:
The applicant proposes to rezone a total of 0.5± acres from General Commercial (C2) to Limited Industrial (I1) and a minor use permit to allow for cannabis retail. On September 5, 2019, the Planning Commission recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve (R_2019-0005/U_2019-0008), finding that: 1) the proposed rezone is exempt from review under CEQA pursuant to Article 12, Section 15183; 2) and the proposed use permit is categorically exempt from review under CEQA pursuant to Class 1, Section 15301; 3) the proposed project is consistent with the Industrial General Plan Land Use Designation; and 4) the proposed project is consistent with the Limited Industrial Zoning District per Mendocino County Code 20.096. See attached Ordinance, Staff Memo, Planning Commission Report, and Resolution.
