PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 17, 2009, the County of Mendocino Board of Supervisors (Board) adopted Resolution #09-182 certifying the Final Environmental Impact Report (State Clearinghouse No. 2008062074) including a Statement of Overriding Considerations and a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for the 2009 Mendocino County General Plan Update and adopted the updated Mendocino County General Plan. On March 23, 2010 the Board unanimously voted to adopt the Housing Element Update for 2010-2015 and its accompanying Negative Declaration. On August 4, 2015 the Board unanimously voted to adopt the Housing Element Update for 2014-2019 and its accompanying Negative Declaration.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The 2019-2027 Housing Element Update for Mendocino County is being brought before the Board for final approval and official adoption. The Housing Element is one of the eight (8) required elements in the County's General Plan. It contains an overview of present and future housing needs for the unincorporated area of Mendocino County.
