Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

By Resolution Number (No.)  18-066 (May 8, 2018), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 170067, Professional Services Agreement with GHD Inc. (GHD), for the North State Street - Highway 101 Intersection/Interchange Alternatives Analysis.                     

 

Summary of Request

GHD has studied the corridor of North State Street, County Road (CR) 104, from Ford Road, CR 250/Empire Drive to Orr Springs Road, CR 223 and developed a final alternatives analysis that includes recommendations to improve safety for all corridor users, to improve the aesthetics of  North State Street by revamping the urban streetscape, to improve pedestrian and bicycle access along the corridor, to address the need for sufficient parking opportunities, and to evaluate roundabout(s) versus signalized intersections along the corridor. This presentation provides the results of the alternatives analysis.

 

Alternative Action/Motion:

Not accept the presentation and provide further direction to staff.
