On February 5, 2019 the Board appointed Supervisors Williams and McCowen to an Ad Hoc Committee on Fire and Emergency Medical Services Sustainability; The Board of Supervisors has authorized staff, including County Counsel, to review issues associated with developing a ballot measure for a sales tax to support fire and EMS Sustainability; The Board has referred the issue of potential sales tax ballot measures to the General Government Standing Committee.
