Summary of Request:
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released a survey and application for AB74 allocation requests to fund Medi-Cal outreach, enrollment, renewal, utilization, and troubleshooting efforts. The allocation fund is available for expenditures January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021. The funding is designed for Counties and Community Based Organizations to work collaboratively in their Medi-Cal navigation efforts with the following populations: Persons with mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders, persons with disabilities, aged persons, persons experiencing homelessness, young people of color, persons who are in county jail or under post release community supervision, immigrants and families with mixed immigration status, persons with limited English proficiency, low-wage workers, and uninsured children and youth formerly enrolled in Medi-Cal.
The Mendocino County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) submitted an allocation survey application to DHCS on November 15, 2019, and received an award letter from DHCS on December 16, 2019, allocating $417,208 to Mendocino County. HHSA is requesting ratification of the application to DHCS, and authorization to accept and enter into the allocation agreement with DHCS.
