Summary of Request

Agreement No. 17-94140 with the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) provides funding for substance use disorder services through the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant. This grant is a federal award of Title 45, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 75. Mendocino County is a sub-recipient of the award to DHCS. The objective is to prevent and treat substance abuse by funding county-operated or county-contracted substance use disorder service providers.

DHCS executed Agreement No. 17-94140 before congressional appropriation of funds in order to avoid program and fiscal delays. DHCS is now amending the Agreement to reflect an additional $9,910 of discretionary funding based on actual congressional appropriation and to update language related to new state reporting requirements.
