SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The U.S. DOJ DEA works with local law enforcement agencies regarding illicit cannabis eradication activities on Federal lands within their jurisdiction. The funds are used to defray costs relating to the eradication and suppression of illicit cannabis. They are primarily intended for payment of deputies' overtime while those deputies are directly engaged in the illicit cannabis eradication process. The Agreement runs October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020. The Sheriff's office received the agreement for processing on February 4, 2020 and therefore is being presented now for retroactive Board consideration. The Sheriff's office requests all originals (four originals) to be returned for processing with the U.S. DOJ.
