Summary of Request:
On May 4, 2017, upon implementation of chapter 10.17, the County of Mendocino Cannabis Program was established within the Department of Agriculture. The Cannabis Program was later moved to Planning and Building Services. In April 2021, the Cannabis Program was moved out of Planning and Building Services and in October 2021, transitioned into a Department.
Department staff is seeking approval to change the department’s name from the County of Mendocino Cannabis Program to the County of Mendocino Cannabis Department.
