Summary of Request

Pursuant to Mendocino County Code 6.16, any outdoor festival with a gathering of one thousand (1,000) or more individual persons for the primary purpose of attending, participating in, or observing a musical or theatrical performance, is required to obtain Board approval.  An application has been received for the Hog Farm Hideaway Festival, sponsored by Back Road Productions LLC, to be held June 23-26, 2022.  The event will be held at Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, the principal location being 50350 Highway 101 in Laytonville.  The event includes camping, live music, and provisions for food and alcohol vendors.  Over the course of the two day event, approximately four thousand five hundred (4,500) attendees, including staff and performers, are exected to attend. The Tax Collector has compiled the required information, attached to the agenda item, and after finding it to be complete, submits the application for Board approval.
