RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Adopt Resolution authorizing the Director of Transportation to act as the Little River Airport Sponsor's official representative and to sign a Federal Aviation Administration Entitlement transfer from Little River Airport to Buchanan Field (Contra Costa County) in the amount of $150,000 on behalf of Mendocino County (Little River Area); and authorize the Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
By Resolution Number (No.) 15-091 (June 16, 2015) the Board authorized the Director of Transportation to act as the airport sponsor's official representative and to sign all necessary applications, grant documents and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) entitlement transfers from either County airport to the other on behalf of Mendocino County.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Each year entitlement funds are apportioned by FAA for the Mendocino County Department of Transportation to fund capital improvement projects at County airports. If not expended or transferred, the funds expire after three years and revert back. On September 30, 2022 (the end of the federal fiscal year), $150,000 of these funds for the Little River Airport will expire. Little River Airport does not have an FAA sponsored project this year; however these funds could be transferred to another eligible airport.
