Summary of Request

GEO Reentry Services provides one full-time GEO staff member to provide services to Mendocino County Probation for Juvenile Programming, both in-custody and out-of-custody, in Ukiah, as well as Adult Programming in the Willits Office.  GEO provides evidence-based programming and other services.  Approximately 75% of services are provided to the juvenile population.  Funding of these services is through Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funds for out-of-custody juvenile services, Youthful Offender Block Grant (YOBG) funds for in-custody juvenile services, and Community Corrections Performance Incentive Funds (SB678) for adult services.  These services are in addition to the Adult Day Reporting Center (DRC) which is also operated by GEO Reentry Services and funded by the Community Corrections Partnership (AB109).  This agreement continues to complement and work in coordination with the existing County’s Adult Day Reporting Center (DRC) contract located in Ukiah and operated by GEO Reentry services, as well as continuing to provide youth services in Ukiah.
