Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On November 16, 2021, the Board approved the First Quarter Budget Report including $90,000 for the Board Chambers Seating Upgrade project.
Summary of Request:
During the Fiscal Year 2022/23 budget discussions and during FY 2021/22 Third Quarter update, the General Services Agency has reported on the failed HVAC system at the Fort Bragg Veterans Hall. There were no funding sources identified during these budget discussions. In order to address this critical facility need, General Services recommends that the Board of Supervisors defunds an existing project to replace the seating in the Board of Supervisors Chambers in the amount of $90,000. The project to replace the HVAC and Electrical Systems at the the Fort Bragg Veterans Hall is estimated at $130,000, however, by defunding the previously approved project, General Services Agency will be able to proceed with design and bidding and return with recommendations for the balance of the necessary funding as needed.
