Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
On October 5, 2021, the Board of Supervisors directed staff to prepare an application for up to $18,084,837.00 in Local Jurisdiction Assistance Grant Program funding, and to bring the completed application back to the Board of Supervisors for review and approval at the October 26, 2021, Board of Supervisor’s meeting.
On November 9, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved the submission of the Local Jurisdiction Assistance Grants Program application and authorized the Cannabis Program Manager, or Department Head, to execute the grant agreement on behalf of the County of Mendocino should the Grant be awarded.
On October 17, 2022, the Board of Supervisors Standing Committee on General Government discussed and recommended that Cannabis Department staff submit the Local Jurisdiction Assistance Grants Program (LJAGP) Direct Grant and Fee Waiver Program Manual to the Department of Cannabis Control and the Department of Fish and Wildlife for review. To date, no comment has been received from the Departments.
Summary of Request:
Approval of this item is time sensitive to ensure a January application period can be met. It is recommended the Board approve the Local Jurisdiction Assistance Grant Program (LJAGP) Direct Grant and Fee Waiver Program Manual.
