Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc. in the amount of $123,613 to provide Expanded Subsidized Employment for California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) participants, effective November 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In response to Request for Proposal No. 040-22, for Expanded Subsidized Employment services, Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) submitted a proposal, and was awarded the proposed Agreement in the amount of $123,613. Through the proposed Agreement, RCS will provide for a comprehensive and cohesive training program to develop or enhance employment skills of California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) participants during the 2022-23 fiscal year. Services will include subsidized employment for participants while they develop the skills and work history needed to obtain self-sufficiency.
